Past performances have included premieres by the Quatuor Danel and contemporary ensemble Psappha. Her orchestral piece Relentless Continuum was performed on BBC Radio 3 by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, followed by a interview on Hear and Now as part of the North West New Music Festival 2016.

In 2016-17, she was a Leverhulme arts scholar with the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), mentored by Magnus Lindberg. While on the scheme she completed Jubilate, an orchestral work premiered by the LPO in St John Smith’s Square in July 2017. She have just completed a year as a member on the London Symphony Orchestra’s Soundhub scheme, which allowed her to continue writing chamber music, but allowed the opportunity to realise a longhand desire to collaborate with dancer. The result was a 10-minute work for flute, clarinet, viola and dancer, Towards Hope, premiered at the Jerwood Hall, LSO St Luke’s in July 2018. She is currently writing a duo for piano and percussion for Tim Williams and Ben Powell, both part of the new music ensemble Psappha which will be completed in March 2019 and performed in May 2019.

As well as a composer, Yvonne is also a passionate and experienced teacher (holding a PGCE (post-compulsory specialism). She examines for Trinity College examination board. Her past experience includes pioneering a new A-level music course in Lancashire and teaching at the University of Manchester.
